We have focused our practice exclusively on birds and exotic pets, a remarkable group of animals with a variety of needs. They have different anatomy from traditional pets like dogs and cats, and have some diseases that only affect them. Because of their uniqueness, they also have to be treated differently medically and surgically.
Our appointments slots are generally longer than standard veterinary appointments, so you should schedule at least 30 minutes for an appointment. Our veterinarians and trained staff schedule at least a half an hour for your medical appointment but for more complex cases can last for an hour. We don’t believe in rushing the process and want you and your animal to get the most out of the learning experience. We strive to explain your pets’ needs and its condition, and to describe how to provide any medications, if necessary. If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask.
APPOINTMENTS AND PAYMENT
Payment is due at the time of the service. If you can’t meet your appointment time, please give us a call so we can fill that spot. To be fair to all of our clients if you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may have to reschedule your appointment. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 am - 5 pm, Friday 9 am - 4 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. After hour emergencies, until 10:00 pm, will be handled by our staff. Just call the regular phone number and it will transfer to our cell phone. If we are unable to respond, please call the Animal Emergency and Critical Care Center at 419.473.0328.
We accept most forms of credit cards including Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. We accept debit card, cash and Care Credit. Care Credit is similar to a credit card but is usually 6 months same as cash. You can apply for Care Credit at our office or to save time at www.carecredit.comor 1-800-365-8295. Currently we are NOT accepting personal checks, sorry for the inconvenience.
